2. What data we process and why

Contact form. The name, email address, phone number, company and message you send us, so that we can reply; we also send you an email confirming receipt. Your name, your email address and at least a phone number or a message are needed: without them we cannot reply. The other data are optional. You are not obliged by law or by contract to provide these data.

Visiting the website. For security and to find errors, the server logs for each request the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the type of browser.

The address biowoodurns.com. If you type the address biowoodurns.com (the domain of our email), a redirect by Porkbun, the registrar of that domain, takes you to this website: to do so, Porkbun receives your browser's request (IP address, site name and path requested, referring page, browser type, time).

Protection against abuse. To limit automated submissions, the server keeps for one hour a hash of the IP address (not the address in plain text) and the times of the form submissions.

Language cookie. If you choose a language, the website stores a technical cookie (bwu_lingua) with the language you chose. The line next to the language buttons tells you how long we remember it: 30 days from your choice or, if you prefer, only for this visit. We use no other cookies and no analytics or advertising tools.

3. Legal bases

• Replying to your request: if you write on your own behalf with a view to a contract with us, for example as a sole trader, the processing is necessary for steps you ask us to take prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); if you write on behalf of a company, it is based on our legitimate interest in replying to customers and prospective customers (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you cannot become our customer (for example, a family looking for a retailer: we only sell to businesses), we give you a short reply on the basis of the same legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Server logs and protection against abuse: our legitimate interest in the security of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Redirect of the address biowoodurns.com: our legitimate interest in bringing to the website those who use the address of our email domain (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Language cookie: for your visit it is strictly necessary to show you the website in the language you chose, so it does not require consent; remembering it for 30 days depends on your choice, made with the line next to the language buttons, which you can change at any time with “Only for this visit” or by deleting the cookie from your browser.

4. Who receives the data

• Hetzner Online GmbH, which hosts the website's server in Germany, as our processor.
• Google, through the Google Workspace email service we use to receive messages and reply to you, as our processor. Google may also process the data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States: the transfer is based on Google LLC's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission) and on the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.
• Porkbun, LLC (United States), registrar of the domain biowoodurns.com, for the redirect to this website, as our processor. Porkbun does not participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework: the transfer to the United States is based on the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission (Module Two), included in its data processing addendum.
• Within Pagrom, only the people who answer the messages.

We do not sell the data and do not use it for advertising.

5. How long we keep the data

• Form messages and our replies: 6 months from the last exchange, if no business relationship arises from the contact; if one does, we keep them for the period that applies to customer relationships and to our legal obligations.
• Server logs: 90 days.
• Abuse-protection hashes: one hour.
• Redirect data at Porkbun: only for as long as needed for the redirect or required by law, as its data processing addendum provides.
• Language cookie: 30 days from your choice, not extended at each visit; if you choose “Only for this visit”, until you close your browser. You can delete it from your browser at any time.

6. Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and, for data you gave us for pre-contractual steps, portability. Write to office@biowoodurns.com.

Right to object. Where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work, or in Romania, where Pagrom is established: Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.

7. Automated decisions

We do not make automated decisions about you and do not carry out profiling.
